Your visit to Tulsi Holistic Healing will be unlike any other doctor visit you have ever had.   Our non-invasive approach emphasizes prevention, treatment, and optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods that mobilize your body’s inherent self-healing processes to restore you to a state of vibrant health.

Tulsi Holistic Healing is based on the six principles of holistic health:

  • The Healing Power of Nature: We recognize the inherent self-healing process in each person.  We seek to identify and remove obstacles to healing and recovery, and to facilitate this inherent self-healing process.
  • Identifying and Treating the Causes: We seek to identify and remove the underlying causes of illness, rather than merely suppress symptoms.
  • First, Do No Harm: We use a therapeutic approach that is non-invasive and enables you to heal without harmful side effects.
  • Doctor as Teacher: We educate patients and encourage self-responsibility for health.
  • Treating the Whole Person: We account for all factors that affect your health, such as physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental, social, and others. We encourage you to pursue your personal spiritual development.
  • Prevention: We assess your risk factors, heredity, and susceptibility to disease to prevent health problems and preserve your health.

What to Expect

Our unique therapeutic approach is holistic; not only do we want to know about your current complaint, we want to know as much as possible about you.  This is because most health conditions are not direct cause-and-effect events. Rather, they are a result of many lifestyle factors, such as dietary habits, stress, environment, and sleep, that affect your genetic make-up and whose effects accumulate over the years.

Accordingly, our initial consultation with you will be much more extensive than you are used to.  We will take the time to listen to and understand your concerns and evaluate your medical history, in order to optimize our understanding of you and your health.  This information will be the foundation of your personalized health plan – holistic care at its finest.

Initial Visit

When you come in, you will be warmly welcomed with a relaxing cup of tea – your choice of Tulsi Wellness or Healing Ayurvedic tea.  As you sip this nourishing tea, you will be joined by your practitioner, who will sit down with you and go over a detailed patient intake form.  Your medical history will be reviewed in detail, and your health concerns will be thoroughly addressed.  You will be encouraged to ask as many questions as you would like, so that you may more fully understand your health needs.  You will be provided with a personalized treatment plan, which may include dietary changes, nutritional supplements, herbal and/or Ayurvedic remedies, and lifestyle suggestions.  If needed, we will coordinate care with your primary care and/or other physician(s).

You should allow up to 90 minutes for your initial visit, whether in person, telephonic, or web-based, unless informed otherwise.

Follow-Up Visits

When needed, a follow-up visit is scheduled for one to four weeks after the initial visit.  Your doctor will assess your progress and discuss any questions you may have.   You will continue to be taught the tools you need to restore and maintain your health. Your treatment plan will be fine-tuned, taking into account your ongoing progress and your medical records from your conventional physician(s).

Follow-up visits are generally scheduled for 15-60 minutes, based on the nature and severity of your health concerns.  The frequency of follow-up visits will vary according to the specifics of your personalized treatment plan.  Through continued communication with us, you will not only improve your health, you will understand how to maintain it and live a healthy life, with Tulsi Holistic Healing as your guide.
